Last updated: 18/02/2026

These Terms and Conditions (hereinafter, the "Terms") govern access to and use of the website and the services offered by Boats Connect S.r.l. (hereinafter, "Boats Connect", the "Platform" or the "Intermediary"), concerning the search, comparison and booking of boating holidays provided by third-party operators. Use of the Platform constitutes full acceptance of these Terms.

1. Nature of the service and role of Boats Connect
  1. Boats Connect operates as a digital intermediation platform between the end user (hereinafter, the "Customer") and charter companies, boat owners or other professional operators in the nautical sector (hereinafter, the "Suppliers").
  2. Boats Connect neither owns nor operates the vessels, does not directly organise the holidays and is not a party to the hire/charter contract, which is entered into directly between the Customer and the Supplier.
  3. Boats Connect provides the following services:
    • presentation and comparison of offers;
    • management of the booking process;
    • collection of the confirmatory deposit and of the balance;
    • information and administrative support.
2. Subject of the booking and price breakdown
  1. The price shown on the Platform refers to the entire vessel, unless otherwise stated, and consists of:
    • The boat price set by the Supplier;
    • The Boats Connect intermediation fee, included in the final price.
  2. Any extra costs are not included in the online price (unless expressly stated), including, by way of example:
    • final cleaning;
    • fuel;
    • skipper;
    • hostess/cook;
    • tender, outboard engine;
    • harbour fees;
    • security deposits;
    • optional or mandatory extras.
  3. All extras, whether mandatory or optional, are paid directly by the Customer to the charter company on the day of check-in, in accordance with the terms set by the Supplier.
3. Booking procedure and payments
3.1 Confirmatory deposit
  1. A booking is deemed valid and confirmed only upon payment of a confirmatory deposit equal to 50% of the total price displayed on the Platform (including the boat price and the Boats Connect fee).
  2. Payment of the deposit entails:
    • acceptance of these Terms;
    • acceptance of the Supplier's specific conditions;
    • the start of the booking confirmation process.
3.2 Balance
  1. The remaining balance of 50% must be paid by the Customer no later than 30 (thirty) days before the start date of the holiday.
  2. Failure to pay the balance within the stated deadline constitutes a breach of contract and may result in:
    • automatic cancellation of the booking;
    • forfeiture of the deposit paid, without prejudice to any claim for further damages.
4. Cancellations by the Customer
4.1 General principles
  1. The cancellation conditions form an integral part of the contract between the Customer and the Supplier.
  2. Boats Connect acts as an administrative intermediary in handling communications, but does not decide independently on the amount of any refunds or penalties, except as expressly provided in these Terms.
4.2 Form and effective date
  1. Any cancellation request must be sent in writing through the official Boats Connect channels.
  2. For the purpose of calculating any penalties, the date of receipt of the cancellation notice shall prevail.
5. Cancellation rules and penalties (Voucher Option)
5.1 General principles
  1. The cancellation policy adopted by Boats Connect is designed to protect the Customer while ensuring the economic sustainability of the intermediation service.
  2. In the event of cancellation, no monetary refund of the deposit is provided, unless otherwise required by mandatory provisions of law.
  3. Where the conditions set out in this article are met, Boats Connect may issue a voucher for the same amount as the deposit paid, which may be used for future bookings.
5.2 Cancellation up to 30 days before departure
  1. In the event of cancellation notified no later than 30 (thirty) days before the start date of the holiday:
    • the 50% confirmatory deposit will not be refunded in cash;
    • Boats Connect will issue to the Customer a voucher for an amount equal to the deposit paid.
  2. The voucher:
    • is personal and non-transferable, unless otherwise stated;
    • is valid for 12 months from the date of issue;
    • may be used exclusively for bookings made through the Boats Connect Platform;
    • cannot be converted into cash and does not bear interest.
5.3 Cancellation less than 30 days before departure
  1. In the event of cancellation notified less than 30 (thirty) days before departure, or in the event of failure to show up at check-in (no-show):
    • no amount will be refunded;
    • no voucher will be issued;
    • the booking will be definitively cancelled.
5.4 Cancellation after payment of the balance
  1. Where the Customer has already paid the balance and gives notice of cancellation:
    • the same conditions set out in articles 5.2 and 5.3 shall apply;
    • any further refunds remain at the sole discretion of the Supplier.
6. Force majeure
  1. Events such as adverse weather conditions, port restrictions, technical failures, natural events or decisions of the competent authorities do not automatically give rise to a right to a refund.
  2. The Supplier may, at its own discretion, offer a rescheduling, a partial refund or the issue of a voucher.
7. Cancellation Voucher – Terms of Use
  1. Where a voucher is issued pursuant to article 5, the Customer will receive a Boats Connect digital voucher for an amount equal to the deposit paid.
  2. The voucher is subject to the following conditions:
    • it is transferable to third parties once only;
    • the transfer requires the beneficiary to register on the Boats Connect Platform;
    • the voucher is valid for 12 (twelve) months from the date of issue;
    • the voucher cannot be converted into cash, either in part or in full;
    • the voucher cannot be combined with other vouchers, credits or promotions, unless otherwise stated.
  3. Following the transfer, the beneficiary becomes the only person entitled to use the voucher and fully accepts these Terms.
  4. Boats Connect reserves the right to refuse or cancel the use of the voucher in the event of fraudulent use or use contrary to these Terms.
8. Insurance
